Apple TV+ has revealed the trailer for the second series of drama-thriller show 'Bad Sisters', with season two set to premiere on 13 November 2024. With a new cast of actors and actresses, the eight-part series will be available globally on Apple TV+. Following the success of season one, where it won several awards, including a BAFTA and the prestigious Peabody, season two is set to have a blend of dark comedy, entertaining its audience through all eight episodes.
In season two, Pat Garvey, played by Eva Birthistle; Fil Garvey, played by Thaddea Graham; Sarah Garvey, played by Sarah Greene; and Grace Garvey, played by Anne-Marie Duff, are back, two years after the 'accidental death' of Grace's abusive husband. The close-knit sisters may have moved on, but when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, posing the question of whom they can trust when suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told and secrets are revealed.
Produced by Merman Television and 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, season two of 'Bad Sisters' is set to have a star-studded cast, with Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon and Justine Mitchell all joining the show.
The first season of 'Bad Sisters' was a critical success, winning several awards, such as the BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series. series has also been honoured with a Peabody Award and four Emmy nominations. Season two runs for eight episodes, with the first two launching on November 13th.
The series is executive produced by Sharon Horgan of Merman, Faye Dorn and Clelia Mountford for Merman, and Dearbhla Walsh also serves as executive producer and director. The show originally aired on the Belgian series 'Clan', which was created by Malin-Sarah Gozin, who also serves as an executive producer.
