Apple has launched a service program for 2023 Mac mini models with M2 chips that are experiencing power issues.
The affected units were manufactured between June 16, 2024, and November 23, 2024.
Apple will repair these Mac minis for free, even if the warranty has expired, within three years of the initial sale.
Owners can check eligibility by entering their Mac mini's serial number on the dedicated program page.
Repairs will be conducted by Apple or authorized service providers at no cost.
Apple may restrict free repairs to the original country or region of purchase if the device has been moved.
The newer Mac mini models powered by M4 and M4 Pro chips, released last year, are not covered in this repair program.
These models are compact with 16GB of RAM, multiple USB-C ports, headphone jack, HDMI connection (supporting up to 8K 60Hz or 4K 240Hz), and an Ethernet port.
