Epic Games' 'Fortnite' has been approved to return to Apple's U.S. App Store and also the European Union, marking the end of a nearly five-year ban.
This decision follows a legal battle between Epic Games and Apple, with Epic Games alleging Apple's practice of charging up to 30% commission on in-app payments violated U.S. antitrust rules.
Analyst Gil Luria stated that this win for Epic Games might come at a steep price and could be too late to significantly boost the Fortnite game that is now considered past its prime.
In addition to the App Store, the game was also available on the Epic Games Store and AltStore in the European Union, as per Fortnite's announcement.
