The latest iPhone software update, iOS 18.4, introduces a new privacy option for iPhone location services.
The 'Improve Location Accuracy' setting, found in the Location Services section, sends anonymized and encrypted data to Apple for improving the crowd-sourced database of Wi-Fi hotspots and mobile phone mast locations.
Disabling the 'Improve Location Accuracy' toggle allows users to opt-out of participating in the crowd-sourced database.
The update also includes other features such as Priority Notifications and fresh emoji.
