Apple's long-rumored 'homeOS' operating system may be on the way, based on recent trademark filings by a shell company called Home Operations Suite LLC.
Trademark applications for 'HOMEOS' have been submitted in multiple countries, with a filing in Liechtenstein and additional filings in the U.S., Argentina, Peru, and other countries.
While the trademark is registered in Liechtenstein, applications are still pending in other regions, including the U.S. where the filing was discovered by Parker Ortolani and reported by 9to5Mac.
Speculations suggest 'homeOS' could be linked to Apple's smart home hub project, potentially featuring a screen, smart home controls, FaceTime calls, intercom features, and more; expected to enter mass production later this year.
