Australian state set to increase driving fines within months
- The Queensland Government plans to increase driving fines by 3.5% from July 1, 2025.
- Low-level speeding fines for exceeding the speed limit by less than 11km/h will increase to $333.
- Fines for not wearing a seatbelt or using a mobile phone while driving will increase to $1252.
- The expected revenue from fines in Queensland is projected to rise to $912 million in the 2025-26 financial year.
