<ul><li>Austria has joined other countries in banning TikTok from government employees' work phones over security concerns.</li><li>The European Commission had previously banned TikTok on its employees' phones and other devices in February 2023.</li><li>TikTok spokesperson called the ban on employee devices by government bodies based on "basic misinformation about our company" and urged officials to meet with them to clarify their ownership structure and commitment to privacy and data security.</li></ul>
