AWS has launched the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 program to support startups in the Asia Pacific and Japan region focused on space technology, aiming to boost innovation and the growing space economy.
The 10-week accelerator program will offer selected startups resources, expertise, and guidance to help them leverage AWS for building, growing, and scaling their missions. It is open to space-sector startups at all stages based in Australia, New Zealand, India, or Japan.
The program will be delivered in collaboration with various AWS partners and leading space organizations, with applications open from July 8, 2025, to September 5, 2025. It aims to support startups innovating in Earth observation, manufacturing for space infrastructure, and drone technology.
The accelerator seeks to address challenges faced by space tech startups such as high capital requirements and specialized talent needs, enabling startups to experiment rapidly and cost-effectively using AWS technologies before major investments. Selected startups will receive benefits like AWS credits, technical guidance, business coaching, connections to venture capital firms, and access to industry leaders.
