<ul><li>India has unveiled the Bharat Forecasting System (BFS) with a high resolution of six km, making it the highest in the world for weather forecasting.</li><li>Developed by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, BFS will be operational from this monsoon season, enhancing India's weather prediction capabilities.</li><li>BFS is the only global numerical weather prediction system at such high resolution, surpassing models from European, British, and US weather offices.</li><li>The BFS model will lead to more accurate and localized forecasts, benefiting sectors like monsoon tracking, agriculture, aviation, disaster management, and more.</li></ul>
