<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true">The Bihar Cabinet approved a policy to provide government-leased accommodation to women employees near their workplaces.Nearly four lakh women, especially teachers and government workers in rural areas, will benefit from this initiative.Accommodation will be arranged through lease agreements with private property owners, ensuring safety and convenience.District magistrate-led committees will identify suitable buildings with basic amenities like electricity and water.Women working in rural or block-level offices can apply for this housing through official channels.Those opting for government-provided housing will not receive house rent allowance (HRA) initially.The initiative will start at district and divisional headquarters before expanding to other locations.The Cabinet also approved the creation of 8,093 clerical posts across Bihar to have a dedicated clerk in every panchayat.This move aims to enhance the implementation of grassroots-level schemes under the Panchayati Raj system.Additionally, 14 new posts were sanctioned for the Agriculture Marketing Directorate to benefit farmers.
