<ul><li>Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, owns four private jets but sees no contradiction with his advocacy for climate action.</li><li>Gates was recently interviewed by the BBC and responded to criticism about his use of private jets while championing environmental causes.</li><li>Microsoft, the company co-founded by Gates, has partnered with Swiss firm Climeworks to remove 10,000 tons of CO2 emissions from the atmosphere in the next 10 years.</li><li>“Well, I buy the gold standard of funding Climeworks, to do direct air capture that far exceeds my family’s carbon footprint,” Gates told the BBC.</li><li>"I spent billions of dollars on climate innovations," he added.</li></ul>
