AIDIA STUDIO has transformed a seasonal fairground in Chetumal, Mexico, into a year-round civic landscape called Parque Quintana Roo.
The 10-hectare project features biophilic and parametric designs, including a 1,000-seat arena, stream-like pathways, and circular structures.
The structures use pale surfaces, olive-green metal columns, and timber details to blend with the surrounding forest, offering protection from tropical weather conditions.
The park's design prioritizes fluid movement, non-hierarchical experiences, and harmonization with nature, featuring arenas, pavilions, and civic spaces tailored to various functions.
