  • The caller had the recipient's name and email address, and instructed them to log onto koinly.io to view their bitcoin transactions and value.
  • The recipient had never set up an account on blockchain.com or koinly.io, leading them to believe it was a scam.
  • Although the caller was persistent, the recipient cut off the call, but had a brief concern about potentially losing £172K.
