Blinkit, owned by Zomato, has extended the notice period for its employees from zero to two months.
The decision is a pre-emptive measure to avoid losing talent to well-funded competitors in the quick commerce space.
Employees who are known to be going to direct competitors are either sent on garden leave or relieved immediately.
Blinkit's gross order value surged 130% to INR 4,923 Cr in Q1 FY25, and the company aims to scale the number of dark stores to 2,000 by the end of 2026.
