BluSmart Mobility has reportedly delayed salary payments for the month of March as the electric cab-hailing startup grapples with a financial crisis.
Cofounder Anmol Singh Jaggi assured employees that pending dues will be cleared by April end, stating that salaries will be released in phases - starting from the lowest pay grades and moving upwards.
BluSmart has been facing mounting troubles, including the termination of a deal to acquire electric vehicles, denial of acquisition talks with Uber, shutdown of Dubai operations, and top-level executive exits.
BluSmart defaulted on INR 30 Cr of bonds in February, despite reporting a rise in operating revenue and narrowing losses in FY23.
