Chinese display maker BOE is set to become Apple's largest supplier of MacBook panels in 2025, overtaking all rivals.
BOE is expected to capture 51% of Apple's MacBook display panel orders this year, primarily due to expanded procurement of LCD panels for the MacBook Air lineup.
LG Display, Apple's previous primary MacBook display supplier, is forecasted to see a decline in shipment volume and market share, while Sharp is expected to continue supplying mini-LED panels for the MacBook Pro.
Despite BOE's dominance in the short term, Apple is projected to transition to OLED technology for MacBooks in 2026, with Samsung Display likely to join the supply chain at that time, intensifying competition.
