Swedish woven design brand Bolon, in collaboration with designers Luca Nichetto and JoAnn Tan, unveiled Exodus - a theatrical installation that reimagining Bolon's flooring as a surreal journey through texture and transformation.
The installation, set in a historic Milanese house, features anthropomorphic creatures and sculptural landscapes created using Bolon's climate-neutral rugs and flooring made from 68% waste materials.
The space is divided into two realms: a primordial forest with spider and crab-like creatures, and a dreamy side with ethereal hues and floating forms evoking a calm atmosphere.
Exodus demonstrates Bolon's mission to transform woven flooring into an art form that blends aesthetics with sustainability and shows that material, guided by imagination, can tell stories and shape space.
