Bosch has signed a non-binding agreement with the US Commerce Department to receive up to $225 million in CHIPS Act funding.The funds will be used to convert Bosch's Roseville, CA facility into a plant producing silicon carbide semiconductors for electric vehicles.The investment is expected to create up to 1,700 jobs, including in construction, manufacturing, engineering, and R&D.Other recipients of CHIPS Act funding include TSMC, Intel, HP, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, Texas Instruments, and Rocket Lab.
