BP's Cypre development offshore Trinidad and Tobago has delivered first gas, marking the start-up of one of the company's 10 major projects announced as part of its strategy reset.
The Cypre project is the second major project to start up in two months, following the Raven field offshore Egypt development.
BP aims to increase investment in upstream oil and gas to $10 billion per year while reducing spending on clean energy.
The company plans for 10 new major projects to begin production by the end of 2027.
