BPCL has chosen Andhra Pradesh as the location for its last greenfield refinery cum petrochemical complex project.
The project, estimated to cost ₹6,100 crore, will include pre-project activities such as initial studies, land identification, feasibility report, and design engineering.
The capacity of the refinery is expected to be at least 9 million tonnes (180,000 barrels per day).
BPCL aims to meet the growing fuel demand in India and has lined up ₹1.7 lakh crore of investment for expanding its core oil refining business as well as new energy ventures.
