Briefing: Apple Vision Woes and Airtable’s bold new product bet

  • Airtable has launched 'ProductCentral', its new product integrating roadmaps, launches, customer feedback and other product-oriented items in one place directly against products like Jira and Linear. It has a bunch of integrations out of the box, and is designed specifically for product teams.
  • Adobe has announced 'Project Concept', its AI-based moodboarding tool for use in the early stages of product design. It has received varied feedback from designers.
  • Instagram has rolled out QR codes that will allow users to create personalized contact cards and share them across other platforms.
  • Quno AI is automating market research with AI, collecting data via AI agents conducting phone calls with hundreds of customers, analysing each interview and combining it with survey data to produce an automated report which synthesizes and shares the most important data.
  • Strella, another new startup in the market research automation space, has raised an impressive $4m seed funding to automate customer research. Its AI moderator can conduct interviews, analyse responses and synthesize findings in real-time.
  • Intercom has launched Fin 2, the second iteration of its chatbot with new capabilities, including the ability to perform customer support actions.
  • YouTube has added new features, including a 'captured with a camera' label, allowing users to know if a video was recorded using a recognised camera device to help users understand when content is human vs AI generated. It has also added a fine-tunable playback speed which allows for smaller 0.05 increments and a Sleep Timer feature.
  • Scrintal is a tool with an infinite canvas used for building API documentation with blocks of embeddable information, and can be used as a playground for the mind.
  • OpenAI projects that it will reach $100bn of revenue and profitability in 2029, with $44bn of cumulative losses to get there, and Microsoft will get a 20% cut of all revenues as part of its partnership with OpenAI.
  • LinkedIn has said that there's been a 35% increase in C-suite professionals in the US using the product in the past five years.
