To request a new SIM card, users need to provide their pincode, name, and alternate mobile phone number, and specify the recipient as self, family/relative, or known person.
After entering the details, users will be required to send an OTP to the provided alternate mobile number for verification.

The initiative aligns BSNL with practices of private telecom operators and aims to provide convenience to customers by facilitating SIM card procurement from their location.
BSNL is also actively expanding its 4G and 5G services across India and plans to have 1 lakh 4G sites operational by June 2025.
