BSNL recorded a net profit of ₹280 crore in Q4 FY25, a significant improvement from the previous year's net loss of ₹849 crore.
The company's performance in Q4 was driven by accounting adjustments and land monetization practices, including moving employee expenses to 'Capital Work in Progress'.
Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, highlighted that BSNL reduced its annual loss by 58% to ₹2,247 crore and achieved back-to-back quarterly profits for the first time in 18 years.
BSNL's operating revenue in FY25 increased by 7.8% to ₹20,841 crore, with growth seen in core segments like Fiber to the Home, customer mobility, and the enterprise segment.
