Buildots, a Chicago startup founded in 2018, offers a platform that tracks construction progress using AI and computer vision technology.
The platform processes images from 360-degree cameras mounted on managers' hard hats, allowing real-time tracking and forecasting of project status, potential delays, and pacing issues.
Buildots raised $45 million in a Series D funding round led by Qumra Capital, bringing its total funding to $166 million.
The company plans to utilize the new funding to expand its product, improve AI models using historical data, and grow its North American operations and R&D teams.
