<ul><li>Chinese EV company BYD has announced the new Super e platform, which can offer charging times as fast as refueling a gas car.</li><li>The BYD charging speed requires new tech and will be available in the upcoming models such as the Han L sedan and the Tang L SUV.</li><li>The 5-minute recharge time for the electric car will give a range of 400km or about 250 miles.</li><li>However, a full battery charge will require a longer time at the charging station.</li></ul>
