Berlin-based CleanTech startup C1 Green Chemicals AG secures €20 million in funding to bring its green methanol catalysis technology to market.
The funding includes a €15 million capital increase involving investors, led by denkapparat and other notable investors, and €5 million from research grants.
C1's methanol catalysis technology disrupts traditional chemical production processes and enables the production of green methanol from non-fossil feedstocks.
The funding will be used to build the world's first demonstration plant for homogeneously catalysed methanol and further develop C1's innovative chemical production processes.
