Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will enter maintenance mode after underperforming with mobile-first players compared to PC and console audiences.
Updates to the game will end as it did not meet expectations with mobile players, leading to the game being removed from app stores and in-app purchases being disabled.
The existing game will remain online with shared inventories and matchmaking, but new content updates will no longer be delivered to the mobile version of the game.
Players are encouraged to try Call of Duty Mobile, which is still running with its third season, while Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will no longer receive new seasonal content and gameplay updates.
