Kennewick-based Carbitex, a maker of flexible carbon fiber composites for footwear and luggage, raised $3.3 million in funding, led by longtime investor Michael Marks.
Carbitex sells its materials to brand partners who integrate them into running, cycling, soccer, watersports, snowboarding, and golf footwear.
Carbitex has raised a total of $28 million since its founding in 2012 and is forecasting 5X revenue growth for 2025.
The company recently went through a restructuring effort, with Junus Khan returning as president and making key executive hires.
