CATL, the world’s largest maker of batteries for electric vehicles, plans to build 1,000 battery-swapping stations for EVs next year.The company aims to ultimately build 30,000 swap stations in China.CATL has developed two new swappable battery packs called Choco-SEB for smaller and larger cars, which can be swapped in about one minute.The company is working with carmakers to roll out 10 EV models using the new battery packs in early 2025.
