CCA | Bernardo Quinzaos has developed a masterplan for La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico, focusing on transforming El Cajoncito, a stormwater channel, into a public corridor to enhance urban connectivity and flood resilience.
The project includes a new sports complex, pedestrian and cycling paths, and a bridge aimed at mitigating flooding, improving circulation, and connecting districts in La Paz.
Community input shaped the design of the Sports Complex, which provides athletic infrastructure like baseball fields, soccer pitches, and indoor spaces for recreational and cultural activities.
Key features of the project include resilient green infrastructure, climate-responsive structures, non-motorized mobility paths, and standardized construction elements to enhance the urban regeneration strategy.
