The central government of India has asked micro-blogging platform 'X' to take steps to curb rumours spreading on the platform after recent bomb threats received by Indian airlines.
They have proposed using artificial intelligence-based solutions to block accounts sending threatening messages.
Joint secretary Sanket S Bhondve held a virtual meeting with airline representatives and social media platforms including 'X' and Meta.
Indian airlines have recently seen an increase in bomb threats, and the government is working on legal amendments to address these offences.
