The Centre has received proposals worth INR 7,500 Cr to INR 8,000 Cr under the electronics components manufacturing (ECM) scheme.
Around 100 applications have been submitted by Indian and international companies to set up electronics manufacturing units in India.
The ECM scheme aims to attract investments worth INR 59,350 Cr, generate domestic production worth INR 4,56,500 Cr, and create 91,600 jobs within six years.
With incentives provided for various electronics components production, the scheme is part of India's vision to become a global manufacturing hub.
