<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="false"><li>The central government has mandated ride-hailing aggregators to adhere to fixed targets for including electric vehicles (EVs) in their fleet, set by government organizations or state governments.</li><li>The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways released the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines (MVAG) 2025 on July 1, providing clarity on these rules.</li><li>In addition to EV targets, aggregators are proposed to utilize motorcycles for rides not used for commercial purposes to reduce traffic congestion and pollution.</li><li>The Centre also allowed ride-hailing platforms to charge passengers a minimum of 50% lower than the base fare and a maximum dynamic pricing of two times the base fare.</li></ul>
