The Centre is planning to finalize the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act rules by April.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is reviewing feedback from industry stakeholders, privacy advocates, and citizens.
The rules are expected to be finalized by the end of next month.
The DPDP Act aims to safeguard personal data in the digital world, and includes measures to prevent personal data breaches and protect the privacy of children and individuals with disabilities.
