The Indian government has unveiled a new Aadhaar app that enables users to verify their credentials digitally through face authentication.
The app, currently in beta stage, eliminates the need for physical cards and photocopies.
The app allows users to share necessary data, strengthen privacy, prevent misuse of Aadhaar data, and protect against forgery and editing.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) plans to make the app available to all users after receiving feedback from a small group and ecosystem partners.
