Certo Aerospace Ltd has raised over £3 million in new capital through an equity placement to accelerate the development of large uncrewed air systems (UAS).
The flagship aircraft, CAPSTONE Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) drone, aims to reduce risk-to-life in defense missions and expand the role of drones in humanitarian operations.
CAPSTONE has a range of 300 miles, flight endurance of up to eight hours, and can carry 300 kilograms in payload and fuel. It is currently undergoing flight trials with multiple government agencies.
The latest funding comes after receiving over $5 million in support from the U.S. Department of Defense, and Certo Aerospace is positioning the CAPSTONE platform for both UK and U.S. defense and civil UAS programs.
