The exhibition showcases furniture and archival materials from 1968 to 1978, highlighting how the iconic duo adapted their designs in response to social and technological changes, emphasizing the use of new materials and addressing workplace trends.
Curated by Llisa Demetrios, the exhibition features original prototypes and documents, shedding light on the Eameses' work in the late 1960s and 1970s, reflecting the needs of the evolving office culture and white-collar workforce.
The exhibition is complemented by a Time Capsule Exhibition connecting the Eameses' work to the Transamerica Pyramid's history, while retail footprints within the venue offer Eames merchandise and design-related products, aligning with the Institute's mission to share the Eames legacy globally.
