Charlotte-Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce launches a Black Innovation Hub in Charlotte to empower entrepreneurs.
The hub, called the Innovation Center, will provide resources such as agri-tech programs, event spaces, co-working spaces, retail store, and distribution center for small businesses.
Inspired by similar hubs in cities like Atlanta and Washington D.C., the Innovation Center aims to be a safe space for business owners and professionals to grow and elevate their ventures.
The chamber spent $30,000 to acquire the building and is fundraising $3.7 million for renovations to support Black entrepreneurs and professionals in Charlotte.
