Chinese electric vehicle companies NIO, Xpeng Motors, and Li Auto reported their first-quarter 2025 earnings recently.
Xpeng saw record-high quarterly deliveries and narrowed its losses significantly, while Li Auto remains the most profitable but faces revenue growth challenges due to increased competition.
Li Auto generated $3.6 billion in revenue, Xpeng reported a 141.5% revenue surge, and NIO faced a tougher path to profitability with a negative operating margin of 53.3%.
NIO posted a steep loss of over $1 billion, Li Auto earned a profit of $91 million, and Xpeng's net loss narrowed by more than half to $104 million.
