Chery Malaysia has received SIRIM certification for its electric vehicle battery pack, making it the first such achievement for an automotive brand in the country.

Chery's current electric vehicle offering in Malaysia is the Omoda E5, which features a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and offers a range of up to 430 km.
Chery showcased the Tiggo 8 Pro e+ facelift, a plug-in hybrid model, at a recent event in Malaysia and plans to launch it in the local market in 2025.
