China successfully launched its first homegrown 6nm GPU, the G100, aiming to compete with Nvidia's RTX 4060.
The GPU is manufactured by China's most advanced foundry, SMIC, and is built on Lisuan's in-house 'TrueGPU' architecture for self-reliance.
The G100 supports modern graphics APIs like DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.3, and OpenGL 4.6, designed for gaming and GPGPU workloads.
Lisuan Technology faced financial and supply-chain challenges but received a $27.7 million injection to continue development, with mass production scheduled for 2026.
