Liang Shi, a Chinese millionaire, has attempted China's rigorous college entrance exam, known as the "gaokao," for the 27th time in his pursuit of attending top-tier Sichuan University.
The gaokao is highly competitive and carries significant stakes for students seeking admission to prestigious universities, similar to India's Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Despite sacrificing a lot and enduring media criticism, Liang fell short of the required score this year by 34 points, leaving him uncertain about his future attempts.
Liang expressed the possibility of not continuing with the gaokao preparation, acknowledging the hard work he has put in but questioning whether further attempts would be worthwhile.
