Cognizant is expanding in India with a new campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, investing ₹1,583 crore and creating over 8,000 jobs.
The proposed campus in Kapuluppada, IT Hills, covering 22 acres, will enhance Cognizant's capabilities in AI and digital transformation.
The expansion will be completed in three phases, with the first phase expected to be finished by early 2029, while operations are set to begin in a temporary facility by early 2026.
The move is part of Cognizant's strategy to strengthen its presence in India's tier 2 cities, with a focus on developing a digital workforce for the future.
