<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true"><li>Cognizant is set to invest Rs 1,582 crore in Andhra Pradesh to establish an IT campus in Visakhapatnam, creating 8,000 jobs.</li><li>The Government of Andhra Pradesh sold 21 acres of land to Cognizant for this purpose.</li><li>The investment will be made over the next eight years, and commercial operations are expected to begin by 2029.</li><li>Previously, a similar land deal was made with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in April for setting up an IT campus.</li><li>TCS was allotted 21.16 acres of land at a token lease price to establish its campus with an estimated cost of Rs 1,370 crore, creating 12,000 jobs.</li><li>The government also allocated land in Guntur district for setting up a hospital and residential quarters for ESIC employees.</li></ul>
