Gibson “Gib” Hufstader, an unsung hero and engineer behind Corvette's success, passed away at the age of 94.
Hufstader joined GM in 1950, contributed significantly to Corvette's development, and earned seven U.S. patents during his career.
He was a key figure in Corvette concept cars, enjoyed Corvette racing, and left a legacy of engineering documents that may influence future Corvette designs.
Hufstader was posthumously recognized for his contributions and inducted into the Hall of Fame by the National Corvette Museum.
