Kelley Heyer, an actor and TikTok content creator, has sued Roblox over the usage and sale of her copyrighted dance to Charli XCX’s “Apple”.Heyer alleged that Roblox released the dance emote before finalizing negotiations to license it, resulting in unauthorized use of her choreography.Roblox sold over 60,000 units of the Apple Dance emote, earning an estimated $123,000 in sales before it was removed from the game.Heyer is seeking compensation for Roblox's profits on the dance and other damages.
