Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike is set to lay off 500 employees, which accounts for five per cent of its global workforce, as part of a strategic overhaul.
The job cuts aim to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate the company's scaling with increased focus and discipline towards achieving a $10 billion annual recurring revenue target.
CrowdStrike plans to create new positions in product engineering and customer-facing functions while restructuring, with hires scheduled throughout the fiscal year ending in January 2026.
The restructuring is estimated to cost between $36 million and $53 million, with a portion to be incurred in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, while the company continues to invest in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions for future growth.
