Crypto hacks surpassed $2.47 billion in the first half of 2025, outpacing the total reported in all of 2024.

Wallet compromises were the most damaging attack vector, causing $1.7 billion in losses, while phishing attacks led to $410 million stolen across 132 incidents.
Despite the huge losses, the second quarter saw a decline in losses, with a total of $801 million lost, down by 52% from Q1.
