Crypto lawyer James Murphy has filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) demanding the release of documents that could reveal the identity of Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
The lawsuit is based on claims made by DHS Special Agent Rana Saoud, who stated that DHS agents had met with individuals involved in the creation of Bitcoin.
The lawsuit seeks access to documents related to the alleged meeting to verify or refute the claims made by Saoud.
The lawyer is calling on DHS to disclose the materials voluntarily and will pursue the case if the department resists.
