Crypto lobbying groups are urging the US Senate to pass the stablecoin-regulating GENIUS Act without debate.
The bill has enough votes to pass to the House after a procedural vote on May 19.
However, a possible roadblock looms due to an unrelated amendment about credit card fees attached to the bill.
Other suggested amendments include new disclosure requirements, guardrails against Trump family crypto ties, etc., which may delay the final passage of the bill.
